RepRap Arduino Mega Pololu Shield -B004B

his is a RepRap Arduino Mega Pololu Shield - commonly known as a RAMPS board. These boards are version 1.4, which is the latest.

These shields attach to an Arduino Mega 2560, and allow the microcontroller to connect to your RepRap's various electrical components - power supply, motors, heaters, fans - and so on.

These boards are version 1.4 - the latest design available, which is very universally compatible with 3D printer electronics. They support up to two extruders (provided you have the stepstick drivers for each), and also have two sets of pins to connect Z-axis motors - meaning designs such as the Prusa Mendel which make use of two Z-motors no longer require any rewiring/splicing - making setup easier and faster.
